Cube Attack Info Released

Discovered by Adi Shamir and Itai Dinur, the so-called “cube attack” was released initially at Crypto 2008 and is related to several stream and block ciphers.

After much speculation, the final paper and online discussion thread has been posted.

It appears that AES is not affected, nor are any of the public key mechanisms used for VI client communications for management of ESX/ESXi and VirtualCenter hosts.

More later as additional details are released.
